At the Maternity Home of the Hudson Valley, we believe EVERY mother deserves the opportunity to thrive in their pregnancey. An unexpected pregnancy can pose an immense challenge to a woman living in unstable conditions. Our mission is to be a Beacon of Light and a hand of hope by offering resources and Christ-centered care to pregnant women faced with an unplanned pregnancy and little support. Our heartfelt desire is that women at the MHHV will experience the love and acceptance of Jesus Christ and that the quality of their lives and that of their babies will be enriched.

It is our desire to be the heart, hands, and feet of Jesus Christ extended to those in need. It is our intent to exemplify the mercy, grace, and love of God to all those who come to us for help.

We endeavor to uphold the tenets of the Bible. Through prayer, the study of scriptures, exemplifying Christ, and cultivating a nurturing environment, mothers receive strength and encouragement to prepare for future life with their new babies.
What We Do
Our Primary Causes
The Maternity Home of the Hudson Valley is a Christ-centered organization serving mothers and their babies. Our goal is to purchase a home so Mothers can remain in the home for up to one year after the birth of their child. During their time at the home, mothers will be given the opportunity to prepare for their next step in life through the incorporation of biblical studies and a variety of training and coaching. It is our heartfelt desire that every mother will be equipped with the skills and resources that will enable them to remain stable and self-sustaining once they graduate from the program.
A home for new mothers
Once a new home is purchased with your help, the Maternity Home of the Hudson Valley will provide a safe and accepting home in a Christian family-like atmosphere to pregnant women who are in need. We will motivate mothers to make positive changes in their lives. Women will stay up to 12 months after giving birth and will have access to a range of educational and supportive services aimed at developing important life skills
Support for up to 1 year after birth
At the Maternity Home of the Hudson Valley, we understand that the birth of a baby can bring many challenges. That’s why we will support mothers for up to one year after birth. This support will include assistance with acclimating to life with a new baby, including providing all baby supplies such as diapers and clothes. Our staff supports breastfeeding and bottle feeding and will be on hand to help with household tasks such as laundry. Our house mothers will work with mothers to teach important household management skills.
Pre-Natal Care Support
Pregnant mothers are connected to medical resources to ensure that they receive the best care during their pregnancy.
Newborn Care
New mothers receive information on what to expect and how to handle the everyday care of their infant.
Postpartum Support
We meet with new mothers to discuss their care and to assess their state since giving birth.
Child Development Training
We will incorporate developmental and social-emotional screenings for the babies.
Mommy + Me
Moms are trained on practices to stimulate the brain and strengthen their new babies’ development.
Next Steps - Life Skills
Mothers will be given opportunity to develop and enhance their life skills.
