Mothers and their babies will be able to stay at the Maternity Home of the Hudson Valley for up to one year after the birth of their baby. At the 6-month mark, the staff will conduct an evaluation to ensure that mothers have a plan for exiting the home. The Maternity Home is dedicated to setting mothers up for success in the future.

To be eligible for services at the Maternity Home of the Hudson Valley, mothers must be over 18 years of age and cannot have any other children in legal custody.

Courses offered by the Maternity Home of the Hudson Valley are a series of ongoing parenting classes designed to help mothers provide a safe and nurturing environment for their babies. The safety of mothers and their babies is the Maternity Home’s top priority, and the Bright Course program that will be offered is an important aspect of this commitment.

There is no cost for mothers. However, mothers are asked to save 40% of their income when they return to work. This helps to establish financial stability and independence for when it is time for mothers to leave.
